Now, that’s the purpose behind the making of a 500-volt wireless ‘bullet’, which when shot off a Taser made stun gun incapacitates the victim by administering a 20-second shock into his skin (and if he tries to pull it off a shock is emitted into his body via the hand). Shot off a 12-bore shotgun, this extended Range Electronic Projectile (XREP) will soon find way into the UK police forces (despite Amnesty International serious concern). Given its abilities, the barbed electrode is expected to revolutionize law enforcement operations, giving police and military forces an effective, less lethal and distant option against criminals.
